Welded pipe sections

Welded pipe sections are never allowed in constructions. The outer openings can be placed as shown in Figure 4, a method that is often preferred by galvanists,because a quick visual inspection can show whether the construction is safe for galvanizing. The sections may be assembled by means of  an open joint as shown in Figure 5, or the holes may be drilled before assembling as shown in Figure 6. The pipe may be left open or connected after galvanizing.
