If overlapping parts cannot be avoided, one hole with a diameter of 10 mm is placed for every 100 cm2 (Fig. 12). This requirement is especially important when using thin materials.
Ventilation openings for steel with a thickness of more than 10 mm and an overlap area of more than 300 cm2 must be agreed with the galvanist before production. Ventilation openings in both parts will increase the quality and ensure the safety of galvanizing.
